Since GTA III has finally arrived on our tablets and phones, I thought I'd make this video demo to show how you can use your PS3 controller to play the game!

Once you download the program for your PC/MAC/Linux system and have your controller paired, download this file onto your tablet/phone.

EDIT: This mapping file shifted all of the buttons for some reason, so at first it will NOT work. In a few hours I'll post a screenshot of how the buttons are laid out, so you will have to manually open the file and edit the button layout. More instructions below...
Move it to this destination (Using apps like "Files" or "File Manager)
/sdcard/data/com.dancingpixelstudios.sixaxiscontroller/Profiles/
Then boot up Sixaxis Controller and choose GTA 3 from the Touch Profiles drop down menu.
DO NOT exit the app just yet. Press the MENU softkey, and open PREFERENCES. Then open "Edit Touch Profiles". You'll come to a blank gray screen. Double tap the screen and a menu will appear with the option to "Load" a profile. Do that, and load the "GTA 3" profile.
At that point you should see a bunch of the buttons shifted at the top of the screen. They can be re arranged by simply touching each button and dragging them to the correct destination. Here's how it should look when finished...

Once it's all set, be sure to "Save" the profile by double tapping the gray screen, and saving it.
Thanks to Xda Developer member isolated_epidemic for pointing me in the right direction of the touch profiles. The touch profile I downloaded from his post seemed off, maybe because it was a .zip file first, then switched back to a .map, I'm really not sure. Whatever the reason was, I changed it up to accommodate my touchpad to work, and hope it'll work for you too!
EDIT: Lastly! Once you start GTA III, go to OPTIONS, then CONTROLS, and "Use Analog Steering" to ON.
CONTROLS:
WALKING
Cross (X) - Sprint
Circle - Punch/Throw/Shoot
Triangle - Get In/Out of Car
Square - Jump
R2/L2 - Cycle through Weapons
Start - Pause
DRIVING
Cross (X) - Accelerate
Circle - Handbrake
Triangle - Get In/Out of Car
Square - Brake
R1 - Shoot While Driving
Start - Pause
